Frustration

What to do with frustration? We've all been through periods of life when frustration takes over. We become so annoyed that virtually anything can make us stress. Very often we do fail to recognize what is the trigger, the moment in life, the habit, the idea fixed in the mind that causes such feelings. In the midst of it all, we start loosing our physical health because there is only so much stress the body can really take. I know that, because I live it too.
What most people are yet to realize in this country is how yoga can help you deal with the frustrations in life, how practicing asanas (yoga poses) can make you humble, focused and appreciative of your own body. Yoga can teach you to perceive your own limits and limitations as it also teaches you to be at peace with both. Doing hard poses, practicing, trying on the mat can give you powerful tools for life. You go from being frustrated at a pose that is not easy for you to learning to have fun in trying to get there. You go from getting upset and quitting to smiling and trying again, breathing deep and accepting (happily) yourself as you are today because you know tomorrow will be different and there is no sense in getting frustrated over something that won't last.
I'd like to see more of that. More people taking the lessons from the mat into their lives. I'd like to see more people discovering yoga as a life skill and not as form to exercise. I'd like to see people not only doing yoga, but living yoga.

Not sure about all of the above? Come try some yoga :)

Love,
Paty
